MIA Accreditation

All Artisan Group members must achieve accreditation by the Marble Institute of America (MIA). In order to achieve the distinction of an MIA. Accredited Fabricator, one must abide by the highest standards in the industry. Achievement of this distinction requires industry experience, financial stability and superior quality of work. Members of the Artisan Group are among the first in the nation to be fully accredited by the MIA, and several Artisan Group members have assisted in establishing the current standards by which all stonework is now measured.

Why is MIA accreditation important? This program was developed to increase the competency of the industry, create greater awareness of safety, and, in broad terms, to protect consumers by providing access to companies that are reliable in respect to quality of fabrication, installation and sale of natural stone.
